Hawksmoor vs Honest burger Showdown…
Set in the arches in London fields 2 heavy hitters fire up the Grills ready for the eagerly awaiting meat lovers.
First up was Hawksmoors effort named the Clogger, which guaranteed to put pressure on the Arteries with a charcoal - grilled sausage patty, pulled pork, candied bacon and melted ogleshield cheese. Topped off with sausage gravy for French dipping.
This was a serious full flavoured burger like no other.
After a little breather… Up next was Honest’s Tom Barton’s unnamed monster with crispy bacon bites distributed throughout the 35 day aged beef patty of rib & rump cap with chicken skin, yes you heard right Chicken skin.
This was seriously massive and you can see people already struggling to finish off Honest’s effort. Half way through and I’m starting to feel the pressure.
This wasn’t a clear cut winner both tasted great but also had there faults after deliberating we decided Hawksmoor had the edge and got our vote, it also looked like it was evenly split, so this is going to come down to the very last burger.
